The Brotherhood of Freemasonry
Freemasonry is a Brotherhood of Men under
the Fatherhood of God, charged with the mission of identifying good men
and giving them the opportunities and resources to become better men.
One of Masonry's
founding and guiding principles is relief. To give of one's self to help
another is one of life's highest attainments. Relief comes in many forms
— it could simply be helping a brother in need, or coming to the aid of
a widow or an orphan.
The family of
Freemasonry includes the local Lodges, together with an assortment of
appendant and concordant bodies. There are Masonic organizations for
youth and for the female relatives of Masons. There are educational
organizations, social organizations, service organizations, and honorary
organizations.
