With sincere gratitude
Charity is a universal characteristic of Freemasonry. Whether help
for a community offered by a local lodge, or a Masonic home
supported by a State Grand Lodge, or the national network of
Childhood Language Disorders centers maintained by local Scottish
Rite Brethren and the Supreme Council, S.J., or the Shriners'
hospitals for crippled children, American Masons are part of a
centuries-old tradition of caring.
However
varied the activity, each effort has one goal: helping those in
need.

Sweethearts Fund
In December
our Lodge honors the widows of our deceased brothers, affectionately
known as our "Sweethearts." In 2006, under the guidance of
Committee Chairs Alvin and Virginia Weis, the program was expanded
into one of the most significant programs of our Lodge, including a
festive luncheon, gifts for our Sweethearts, musical entertainment,
and a special acknowledgment of the contributions of all the ladies
of Acalanes Fellowship. Additionally, the Committee continues
communications with the Sweethearts throughout the year with cards
and letters.
Contributions to this fund help insure
its continued success. 2007 Committee Chair is Br. Jim
Chamberlain. The December date of our event can be found on
our calendar,
and more information will appear on our
functions page as the event draws
closer.

While the activities of Acalanes Fellowship are not
for profit, we are not a registered charity. Accordingly,
contributions are not tax deductible.
Please consult your tax professional.
